PEANUT

Brazil is among the five main peanut producers in the world. Production and export of the product are markets in significant growth in the country: in 2020, we exported to 57 countries, and from January to April 2021, raw peanut export revenues reached US$ 70.8 million, growth of over 12% over the same period in 2020.

Brazilian peanuts have been gaining more and more space on the international market due to the quality of production. Almost all the country’s production is focused on the state of São Paulo, in the southeast of the country, and perspectives for production in 2021 are 613.5 tons, being 543 tons in the state of São Paulo alone.

SESAME SEED

To Brazilian soy producers, sesame seed has shown itself to be a profitable option for cultivation after the harvest of their main produce, and this has increased production of the seed in the country.

In recent years, Brazil has been developing research and studies to boost the growth and improvement of production. Most of the cultivation is focused in the midwest of the country (state of Mato Grosso).

Since 2020, Brazil has been exporting sesame seeds to India, one of the world's main producers.

Perspectives for the 2021/22 crop are for 73,000 tons.
